So it’s okay for a religious figure to hand out roses to school students?
In October, our spiritual leader Brother Samael Demo-Gorgon was fearful of a police response after he showed up outside a state high school in Brisbane handing out flyers to promote our Satanic religious instruction program.
Within hours, Education Minister Grace Grace had blasted our temple’s community outreach as “ridiculous” and as a “stunt”, while making it clear in the media that police were aware
But what happens when a Christian pastor shows up outside a school handing out roses to students? Well, we may be about to find out!
On Thursday, Pastor Nick from the Empower Church at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast appeared outside Caloundra State High School. According to the school’s P&C Association, he was there handing out roses to students and staff to mark Valentine’s Day.
Far from being concerned, the P&C Association told its Facebook followers that it was “a wonderful surprise” to have “lovely Nick” on hand, with his “kindness and smiling face” being very much appreciated.
So far, Minister Grace has not commented on this appearance of a religious figure handing out items to students outside a school gate.
Brother Samael says the Noosa Temple of Satan is watching closely to see if a ministerial statement to the media will be forthcoming.
“If Minister Grace thinks that what we did in handing out flyers at a high school was a stunt, then what does she think of what the Empower Church did? It would be concerning for Satanists all around Queensland if the state government were to apply a double standard in the treatment of our spiritual leaders as compared to Christian ones,” he says.
