Senator Stoker is snubbing Satanists
It seems that Queensland senator Amanda Stoker has been so busy consulting with community groups on the proposed Religious Discrimination Bill that she has completely overlooked us – adherents of the fastest-growing religion in Australia!
The Right-wing Christian senator, who has been asked by Scomo to help bring the Religious Discrimination Bill to the parliament before the upcoming election, last week told Senate Estimates that she has been holding many meetings with “people who wish to be heard” on the legislation.
“There is a lot of community interest in ensuring that the bill is both delivered and that it is effective in meeting its objectives,” she said.
Funny that! Here at the Noosa Temple of Satan, we haven’t made it a secret that we wish to be heard on the issue. Yet, Senator Stoker has so far failed to invite us for a one-on-one chat.
So we’re asking Senator Stoker to propose a time and day for us to pop by her office. Hell, our spiritual leader Brother Samael Demo-Gorgon will even bake up some scones for the occasion!
“Satanism is the fastest-growing religion in Australia. So it would really be a shame for Senator Stoker to completely overlook us,” he said.
“Given Senator Stoker’s fervent Christianity, we know that she believes in Satan and thinks about him all the time. We’d just like to have the opportunity to chat with her about Satan’s great plans for Australia and how, under any new ‘religious freedom’ laws, we would like to use our equal freedoms to spread the word of the Dark Prince.”
Given Senator Stoker’s links to Dave Pellowe’s Christian fundamentalist Church & State event, having been a regular attendee and guest speaker there, Brother Samael is worried that she may ignore the views of Satanists.
Senator Stoker told the Senate Estimates hearing that bringing the Religious Discrimination Bill to parliament before the election had become a “more pressing” priority for the Morrison government.
