‘Freedom For Faith’ shuns us for Religious Freedom Weekend

As law Professor Patrick Parkinson’s Freedom For Faith group continues to mobilise Christians for this week’s Religious Freedom Weekend, a dark shadow has fallen over the event.

The Christian think tank, which is lobbying the Morrison government for new ‘religious freedom’ laws, has shunned us Satanists.

Last week,

QLD blocks us from Satan-ising our wagon

In what seems to be yet another case of discrimination against Satanists by the Queensland government, we’ve been blocked from being able to pimp up our ride in line with our religious beliefs.

One of our members recently tried to purchase personalised number plates with ‘Hail Satan’ written in the caption – the small text along the bottom of the plates – but was rejected.

Our temple is preparing for action on prayer in state parliament

The Noosa Temple of Satan has asked the Speaker of the Queensland Parliament to cease the practice of imposing Christian prayers or face legal action on the grounds of discrimination.

In a letter to Speaker Curtis Pitt last week, our spiritual leader Brother Samael Demo-Gorgon warned that he would make a complaint under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 to the Queensland Human Rights Commission if the Christian ritual continued to be imposed.

Help us fight Facebook for our religious freedom!

We’re calling on Satanists all around the globe to come to our rescue as Mark Zuckerberg continues his ongoing assault on our religious freedom.

Since Thursday, when Facebook introduced bans on the sharing of news on its platform in Australia, we at the Noosa Temple of Satan have been barred from posting content to our almost 6,000 followers.

Hospital’s backflip puts religious freedom at stake

The Noosa Temple of Satan is seeking an urgent explanation from the Sunshine Coast University Hospital as to whether it welcomes Satanists and respects our religious freedoms after the hospital made an extraordinary backflip.

Weeks after it appeared to support our request for a Satanic pentagram to be displayed in its multi-faith centre the hospital has now denied that it recognised Satanism as an official religion.

Join our ‘Give a Knit’ campaign for charity

We’ve had many knitters across Australia contacting us in the past couple of weeks sharing their anger at the comments made about them by prominent Christian apologist and historian John Dickson.

Knitters have, understandably, been in knots since Dickson (pictured) described our plan for Satanic chaplains to be working in hospitals as being as useful to sick and dying people “as the local knitting club”.

“It is happening on your watch, Grace”

Queensland’s Education Minister Grace Grace appears set to trample all over the religious freedoms of Satanists by vowing to never let Satanic religious instruction (RI) classes be held in public schools.

In media reports yesterday, Minister Grace made it clear that she is hellbent on stopping the Noosa Temple of Satan from ever entering public schools to deliver Satanic RI to those who want it.

Repost - Noosa has again a very close connection to our recycled Deputy Prime Minister Barnarby Joyce through the actions of our very generous local Member of Parliament. May Satan richly bless them. 🤘😈Llew O'Brien MP for Noosa has employed Barnaby Joyce's partner Vikki Campion - hopefully the Noosa Temple of Satan will be working closely with Vikki and Llew during the debate around the Religious Discrimination Bill. 🙏😈 www.pressreader.com/australia/the-sunday-times-9029/20200308/283300344604035 ... When students return for semester 2 at University of Queensland, they may be able to access Satanic pastoral care on campus!Earlier this month, our spiritual leader Brother Samael Demo-Gorgon wrote to UQ to inform it that the Noosa Temple of Satan wished to be added to the list of chaplaincy providers who are on hand to support students and staff.According to its website, UQ’s Multi-Faith Chaplaincy is an “inclusive space to share faith, traditions and spiritual practices with respect for each person’s spiritual journey and chosen faith.”The service provides “pastoral care, support, spiritual conversations, learning and events for many faiths”, including various types of Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism. In his letter, Brother Samael said that the Noosa Temple of Satan, in representing Australia’s fastest growing religion, wished to have the same opportunity as other faiths to use the university’s facilities to provide pastoral care and spiritual conversations, among other activities. In response, the university told us we would have to pass through a few hoops before we could begin our important work.Among the boxes that we need to tick to show our temple’s ‘recognition of standing as a faith’, we have to demonstrate “the broad position and reputation of the faith body in society”. Also, for Brother Samael to be appointed as a chaplain we need to demonstrate his “reputable character and good standing”, and the likelihood that he “will contribute positively to the UQ Community.”Brother Samael is hopeful that he can be working on campus in time for O-Week next month.“Our temple’s key tenets include ‘Enlightenment’ and ‘Critical Thought’. So Satanism is a natural fit for the university, especially given the number of liberal arts students there!" he says.“Satanic chaplaincy can play an important role in helping students cope with the pressures of university life and can even bring UQ students and staff to the right path through spiritual conversations."If any of our members are students or staff at UQ, please get in touch with us!Hail UQ!Hail Satan! ...
